“Seceding” is a very popular idea in Texas.

A much better alternative to consider is asserting and restoring the national sovereignty of Texas, that we never signed over to the United States. There is a treaty that was agreed to by the president of Texas and the president of the U.S. in 1845. In spite of much research, none of us has ever seen a copy signed by both presidents.

But even if a true signed copy can be found, the agreement does NOT give away the sovereignty Texas had from 1836 to 1846. Both sides agreed during the negotiations that Texas would retain its sovereignty when it was admitted to join the other States. Texas also explicitly retained all its lands and never ceded its lands to the U.S.

When U.S. politicians began to build a world empire through lies and deceptions, they deceitfully said U.S. government was the only sovereign and the States were subordinate to it. At that time the people were so busy trying to make a living they didn’t realize they would eventually become servants to their “public servants.” But there is no time limitation on fraudulent acts against the people. The great deception can be undone — stay tuned.
