Press Release – By John Jarnecke

A monthly meeting of the elected officials and guests of the republic of Texas in Bryan, Texas was invaded by sheriff deputies from Kerr and Brazos counties, a representative from the State of Texas Attorney General’s Criminal division, FBI, US Marshals service, Texas Rangers, Texas Department of Public Safety and local Bryan and College Station police, allegedly to serve a warrant on a representative and county judge. Everyone present was questioned, searched, and/or had personal property confiscated and the majority fingerprinted. Why was a peaceful assembly of Texian people targeted for this invasion? Valentine’s Day and the 89th birthday of one of the fellow citizens were on the agenda to be celebrated, but never happened due to the invasion. The officials and guests were learning about the republic of Texas Constitution.
